# Deprecation notice - old PDF Template builder

## Timeline
As of July 7, 2024 Lightico is deprecating the old PDF Template builder for the creation of new shared items.

 :::(Info) (Editing a shared item created with the old PDF editor)
* You can still use the old PDF Template builder to edit existing shared items that were created there.
* Some Workflow features may not work if you add an asset that was created and mapped with the old builder.

## Alternative

The new PDF Template builder incorporates all the features of the old builder plus more. The updated UI provides a much more intuitive and effective experience when creating documents for your customer journeys.
