Release January 4, 2026

Prev Next

This release strengthens customer engagement, document accuracy, and administrative control across Collaboration Room, Case Manager, and Admin Center. Agents can resend lost session invites, cancel workflows started in error, and ensure only the correct documents move forward using classification validation across all document categories. Admins gain more flexibility with HTML template updates, granular case note permissions, enhanced AWS storage configuration, and expanded use of Function Attributes. Case Manager continues to mature with multi-participant engagement support and improved SMS invitation handling.

New features

Collaboration Room

✉️ Resend session invitations when an invite is lost

Agents can now resend invitations to session owners or co-signers who were already invited but may have lost their original link. This avoids restarting sessions or creating new participants, keeping single and multi-party processes on track.

Sending a duplicate invite is now a distinct Reinvite action, clearly separated from Re-engage, which is used to correct participant details before resending an invitation.

✅ Ensure the correct documents are collected

Businesses can now prevent customers from continuing a session with the wrong document for Mitek-supported documents. Classification validation has been added as an advanced processing option and can be configured during Document Request creation and refined at the Workflow level. Classification results can then be used to automatically route customers down pass or fail paths, ensuring only valid documents move the journey forward.

Note that advanced document processing is no longer limited to the Photo ID category and is now available across all document categories, giving greater flexibility when defining Document Requests.

More information, see Add Document Requests to a Workflow.

🗑️ Cancelling Workflows that the agent started

Agents can now delete a Workflow even after completing an agent-facing Form, as long as the customer has not yet started. This makes it easier to stop sessions that were created in error or are no longer relevant. This capability was already available via API and is now supported in the agent console.

For more information about deleting Workflows in a session, see Using interaction bubbles.

Admin Center

📄 Import HTML into an existing template

Business configurators can now import an external HTML file directly into an existing HTML template while keeping the same template ID. When importing from the HTML designer page, you can choose whether to create a new template or replace the content of an existing one. This makes it easier to update and maintain HTML templates without breaking existing references or Workflows.

For more information, see Create Dynamic Documents.

🔒 Lock and unlock case notes permission

When creating or editing a custom user role, you can now choose whether the role can lock or unlock case notes. The new lock/unlock notes option appears as a dedicated permission, giving admins clearer control over who can change note status.

For more information, see Create a user with Case Manager permissions.

📂 AWS storage integration improvements

Keep chronological naming when needed—and avoid it when it’s not

Document filenames of files saved via the AWS hub have traditionally included timestamps to help organize files chronologically. You can now turn this behavior off when timestamps are unnecessary.

Store documents in a structure that fits your processing model

Different teams process documents differently. You can now choose whether session documents are stored in session-specific sub-folders or directly in the root folder.

For more information, see Configure AWS external storage.

🧮 Enhancing Function Attribute use

Function Attributes let you define values that are calculated during a session, such as derived amounts or combined fields. Until now, they could only be created in the Attribute mapping page and were not supported in PDF Templates.

With this update, Function Attributes are more flexible and easier to use:

  1. You can now create Function Attributes on the fly when adding fields or Attributes in Forms or Dynamic Documents, using the Create new dialog. These Attributes are saved and can be reused anywhere dfunction Attributes are supported across the platform.

  2. You can now bind text, number, and date fields in PDF Templates to function Attributes, allowing calculated values to appear directly in generated PDFs.

Case Manager

👥 Extend case engagement beyond a single participant

Support for co-signers

Until now, Case Manager supported customer engagement within a case, but only with a single participant. This update rounds out that capability by allowing multiple participants—such as co-signers, joint applicants, or guardians—to be involved in the same engagement.

By supporting multiple participants and shared visibility into signing progress, Case Manager brings its engagement capabilities closer to what is available in Collaboration Room, enabling richer, more complete customer interactions directly within a case.

For more information, see Create a Workflow for a case task.

🌍 Country code dropdown for SMS invitations

Customer engagement tasks in Case Manager now include a country code dropdown when sending SMS invitations. The prefix can default to the country code defined in profile or team settings, helping ensure consistent formatting and reducing errors when entering phone numbers.

Fixes

Collaboration room

Resolved the following issues:

  • The help header for a Document Request upload screen on a mobile device displayed the wrong message in certain cases.

  • In the agent tools UI, the spacing between text and icon was missing, and the localized “View all co-signers” label could slide out of frame in German.

  • After ending a session, agents could not upload External Documents or Asset Documents in a new session unless the page was refreshed.

  • Customers could not send themselves completion emails because the post-completion “thank you” screen did not appear in some environments.

  • Some screens were not localized when Arabic was set as the system or team language.

  • When two instances of the same Workflow were added to a session, agent preview could show identical values across both Workflows instead of each Workflow’s actual data.

  • Some identity verification sessions intermittently returned an error status during authentication from the third-party verification provider.

  • A cosigner session could be left pending with no document added for the cosigner to sign, preventing completion.

  • Completed Workflows could not be fully downloaded because a step remained stuck, resulting in only a partial document set being available.

  • User creation failed for email addresses with additional characters after “.com”, even though similar formats were already in use.

  • Some sessions experienced “file too large” errors from the third-party verification endpoint, which could cause customers to get stuck and be unable to complete the workflow.

  • Some IDV sessions did not capture the back of a resident card during the Workflow step, leading to repeated attempts and timeouts without completing the capture.

  • Documents became stuck and did not lock, affecting downstream completion behavior.

  • Data sets with duplicate names could be created, leading to inconsistencies in workflows that reference those data sets and causing downstream data issues.

Admin Center

Resolved the following issues:

  • Attributes nested inside a radio button or checkbox disappeared after moving the group and could not be reinserted because they were incorrectly treated as already bound.

  • Workflows or folders could not be moved to an empty destination folder when the target folder was single-click selected, and an incorrect “Folder name already exists” error was shown.

  • Editing wave-style connector lines in Workflows created in the old Workflow builder was not possible.

  • Attribute labels were cropped and spaced incorrectly when selecting Attributes for conditional signatures in the PDF editor.

  • The option to change table background color was missing in the HTML designer when a table cell was selected.

  • In User Management, admin search returned results only for usernames and did not return results for first name, last name, ID, team, or role.

Case Manager

Resolved the following issue:

  • Forms with a radio button option that included a nested Attribute did not consistently display the option and nested field until the Form was refreshed after the visibility condition was met.
